Wispr Flow is a voice dictation app. Open the link above on the device you want to use, install it, then follow the steps for that device below.

Mac

macOS · two builds available

Check your chip first.

There are two Mac builds — one for Apple Silicon (M1 / M2 / M3 / M4) and one for Intel. Download the one that matches your Mac. The Intel build on an Apple Silicon Mac will close the moment it opens.

To check: Apple menu → About This Mac.

  1. Download the build that matches your chip (Apple Silicon or Intel).
  2. Open the downloaded file.
  3. Drag Wispr Flow into the Applications folder.
  4. Launch Wispr Flow.
  5. Sign in when your browser opens.
  6. Allow microphone access when prompted.

Wispr Flow lives in the menu bar at the top of your screen.

Requires Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)

  1. Download the installer (Wispr Flow Setup.exe).
  2. Run it.
  3. Sign in.
  4. Allow microphone access.

iPhone (iOS)

Requires iOS 18.3 or later

  1. Install Wispr Flow from the App Store.
  2. Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards and add Flow.
  3. Turn on Allow Full Access.

Android

Requires Android 13 or later · currently in beta

  1. Install Wispr Flow.
  2. Sign in.
  3. Grant microphone permission.

Flow appears as a floating bubble in any text field — no keyboard switching needed.

Optional: HIPAA compliance (Business Associate Agreement)

If you'll dictate anything that includes patient information, sign Wispr Flow's Business Associate Agreement (BAA) before you do. The BAA is the HIPAA-required contract that lets Wispr Flow handle that information on your behalf. Signing it turns on Zero Data Retention — your voice and text are not stored or used for training.

  1. In Wispr Flow, open Settings → Data and Privacy.
  2. Next to Enable HIPAA, click View and accept.
  3. Review the BAA using the preview link.
  4. Enter your legal name and click I agree.

This cannot be undone.

Signing the BAA permanently turns on Privacy Mode (Zero Data Retention) for your account — it can no longer be switched off afterward. Only sign once you're sure.

Available on Mac, Windows, and iPhone. Not available on Android.
